Well, this is my first post on my blog after dear Laci has taken a lot of time to set this up for me. Thank you Laci.
Have completed my training at the Provo MTC and survived. Actually, it was a spiritual, uplifting experience every day. The trainers and others working here at the MTC are kind, patient, and very understanding.
Tomorrow morning I will be leaving the MTC at 8:00 a.m. to go by shuttle to the Salt Lake airport. Will fly out at 11:00 a.m. and go to Chicago O'Hare airport, where I'll have a 2-hour break, then fly to London. My plane arrives at 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning. I'm truly hoping I get to take a nap.
I'm very excited to actually begin my mission service with the good people of London. If I can figure out how to add some pictures I will try to do that. If you don't see any pictures, I'm still trying to figure it out.
Have a great weekend everyone. You're in my prayers each day.

That sounds awesome (and I hope you got your nap!). I recently went to a Benedictine convent in Cottonwood, Idaho for a week-long immersion experience with some of my friends from Saint Martin's. It made me think of you and the great things you'll be getting up to in London. You're one inspiring woman Aunt Linda! Can't wait to read your next post. Love, Annabel
ReplyDeleteCongrats for conquering the Blog. I have subscribed to email notification. I don't blog, twitter, and read facebook. Have a good time in London. Sorry you don't get away from the terrorist, but I'm sure you'll still enjoy the country and culture. Good luck with the language!!! Love, Veraun
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Mom thought you were leaving on Monday-the 27th. Have a great flight, and enjoy the new experience. Next time I am up there I will make sure that Mom knows how to see the blog too. I knew you would not have any problems with the training.
ReplyDeleteLove ya. Karen
Yeah... Been thinking of you. Jeff just found me some awesome shoes, called Go Walk by Sketchers.....love them! Most amazing thing ever! You can order them on line. They are stretchy on top with NO pressure points, and they are light as a feather and on and on... I can bear my testimony of them! Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteSurprise...I found the Blog again (a new experience for me!) and will now attempt a comment(no remarks needed about me never having a problem commenting on anything before). I think we're having "sympathy" rain here for you, so you're not missing anything on this side of Washington. Can't wait to hear more about your new "digs" and all about the "hood". Remember, I'm living vicariously through your adventure, so make sure WE are moving forward with joy and anticipation...I've told you many times that you are my hero, so go leap a tall building.....Ok, maybe a short walk around the grounds will do.
ReplyDeleteLove and prayers, Kathy
